It is highly recommended to use our Real Deal Low Profile CNC Steel Bushings / J Cage Bearings to support the gearset and allow more clearance for precise shimming. 

The use of an aftermarket mosfet is highly recommended.  Perun Hybrid - Jefftron Optical - Jefftron Scylla - Gate Titan. 

TECH TIP - Make sure to thread lock your motor height after shimming your bevel gear. When Pairing a Brushless Motor With Optimized Gears we highly Recommend using our Real Deal High Speed Delay chip.

When Pairing Optimized Gearset with a Delay Chip you MUST TRIM YOUR TAPPET PLATE TO RELEASE ON TIME. The Optimal timing for an SSG is to ensure the tappet plate is fully forward around the time the piston's last 3 teeth are held by the sector gear. 

If upgrading a G&G replica you may have issues with motor height adjustment when shimming your gearbox. G&G on the baseplate of their motor grip, they have metal dividing tabs that raise too high and raise aftermarket motors above the motor height adjustment screw. You have 2 solutions: dremel and modify the baseplate, it takes like 30 seconds with a Dremel or use a new grip such as PTS grips any PTS Enhanced Polymer Grip.
